Moroccan Marriage Process. Part two: Police Interview.

So you, guys survived a court process and it means that you almost did it! ( What is a court process and which documents you need for it. You can read here: https://1beautiful-mind.blogspot.com/2017/07/moroccan-marriage-process-part-one.html ).
There are a few more steps to follow and you can prepare your celebration then. So the court worker accepted your case and it means you have to make 5 copies of each document and as it is a huge amount of papers they have Xerox right there in the hall. So, you have to bring one folder with the documents to the king's representative whose office is right there in a family court, who will ask you some basic questions, following the protocol ( by the way, it was very funny, because it was probably the first day of work for our interviewer, he had no idea what to ask us and asked his assistant what he had to interview us about), then countless signatures of countless people! If you are lucky enough and all these people whose signatures you need are at their offices and they signed everything, you go back to the same court worker, give her/him this signed document and she/ he gives you a secured envelope (which has one of these 5 folders with all your documents), which you have to deliver safe and sound to the General Police Office.
I can still remember how were wondering around through these long empty corridors looking for someone who will interview us. When we found the right room and I, as a foreigner, was the one who was interviewed first. It took a police officer about 45 minutes to ask me about everything! And I mean EVERYTHING! Who are my parents and where do the work, their age, my education and places I used to work and I'm working now, countries I visited, my religion and political views and many-many other things. Even though I heard a lot of stories from foreigners about super rude and provocative questions they were asked; my interviewer was very polite and he spoke English, which is not typical for Moroccan Police.
It is well known that Moroccan authorities are on of the best in the world so do not try to mess up with Moroccan police and trick them! Because they will really investigate you, and I mean it! According to Moroccan law, any sexual relationships before marriage are completely forbidden! So you should not be shy when you will be asked about it. Your Moroccan partner will be interviewed as well, but it takes a little time, comparing to a foreigner. After you finished, Police will investigate you and in a few more days you'll have to go to the court again to pick up your permission, after which you'll need to sign a contract officially at Adoul's office ( Islamic Lawyer) and prepare yourself for Moroccan Wedding! Mabruk!
